Question 1

Where is my financial data stored?

Accepted Answer

All your financial data is stored locally on your device in an encrypted vault protected by AES-256 encryption. If you enable multi-device sync, data syncs through your personal iCloud account using Apple's end-to-end encryption. Your data never touches our servers.

Question 2

Can nint see my transactions or bank details?

Accepted Answer

No. We have zero access to your financial data. Your transactions, budgets, goals, and bank information are stored exclusively on your device. Our servers only store your email, subscription status, and app preferences.

Question 3

Does nint sell my data to third parties?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely not. We don't collect your financial data, so there's nothing to sell. Our business model is based on subscriptions, not data monetization. We will never sell, share, or monetize your personal information.

Question 4

What happens to my data if I delete the app?

Accepted Answer

When you delete the app, your local data is removed from your device. If you had iCloud sync enabled, you can also remove the data from iCloud through your Apple settings. Your account information (email, subscription) can be deleted by contacting support.

Question 5

Is my data encrypted?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Your local data vault uses AES-256 encryption, the same standard used by banks and governments. iCloud sync uses Apple's end-to-end encryption, meaning only your devices can decrypt the data.

Question 6

How do I add my transactions?

Accepted Answer

You can add transactions manually with a quick-entry form, import them from CSV or OFX files exported from your bank, or use the smart receipt scanner to capture transactions from photos. nint does not connect directly to your bank to protect your privacy.

Question 7

Can I use nint on multiple devices?

Accepted Answer

Yes! Enable iCloud sync in settings to keep your data in sync across all your Apple devices. The sync uses end-to-end encryption, so your data remains private even during transfer.

Question 8

How do I set up a budget?

Accepted Answer

Go to the Budgets tab and tap 'Create Budget'. You can set monthly limits for categories like groceries, dining, entertainment, and more. nint will track your spending against these limits and notify you when you're approaching them.

Question 9

Can I import data from another finance app?

Accepted Answer

Yes. nint supports importing transactions from CSV and OFX files. Most finance apps allow you to export your data in these formats. Go to Settings > Import/Export to get started.

Question 10

What features are included in the free plan?

Accepted Answer

The free plan includes manual transaction tracking for up to 2 accounts, basic budgeting, and 30 days of transaction history. All data stays on your device with local storage. It's a great way to get started with privacy-first budgeting.

Question 11

Does nint support recurring transactions?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You can set up recurring transactions for bills, subscriptions, and regular income. nint will automatically create these transactions on schedule and include them in your budget forecasts.

Question 12

Can I track multiple accounts?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You can create and manage multiple accounts including checking, savings, credit cards, and cash. Each account has its own transaction history and balance tracking.

Question 13

Does nint support multiple currencies?

Accepted Answer
